Singapore Airlines Ranks Second Highest Among Asian Companies on List of Most Admired Companies in the World

Singapore’s aviation industry continues its ascent, with Changi Airport securing the coveted title of Best Airport in the World once again. Furthermore, Singapore Airlines (SIA) received recognition in Fortune magazine’s esteemed list of the world’s most admired companies, climbing two spots to secure the 29th position, up from last year’s 31st ranking.

As the sole representative from Singapore within the top 50 and the second-highest ranked Asian firm, Singapore Airlines (SIA) held the second position within the airline sector. Fortune’s rankings, comprising input from 3,720 executives, directors, and securities analysts worldwide across diverse sectors, showcased Singapore Airlines’ (SIA) commendable performance across various categories. These included Innovation, product/service quality, personnel management, leadership quality, financial stability, and long-term investment potential.

In a statement, Goh Choon Phong, CEO of SIA, remarked, “This ranking underscores Singapore Airlines’ dedication to innovation, investment in superior products and services, and a resilient, committed work ethos prevalent throughout the organisation.”

“This achievement will further inspire us to uphold our commitment to providing a world-class travel experience. Credit for this recognition goes to our dedicated team, whose relentless efforts contribute to Singapore Airlines maintaining its leadership in the aviation sector.”

This positive development follows SIA’s announcement of a record half-year profit in November 2023, with net profits surging to S$1.44 billion (US$1.06 billion).
